Damson Cottage Garden

Our recipes

The best thing about growing your own fruit and veg is the satisfaction of eating it! I have three rules about recipes published here on the DCG blog:

1. They must all include food grown in our garden, this makes the recipes seasonal. You can look at each recipe to see what time of year the fruits and veggies are ready. This also means, to us, the ingredients are precious. If you spend time and effort growing beans, you want to cook them to their absolute best. You savour the flavour!

2. They must all have been cooked by us, at least twice (most of them have been made by us several times) as quality control (plus we like to eat up the extra food!!)

3. They must be brilliant – work every time, be easy to make and taste great. Most of the recipes published here are family favourites, they have been eaten, and appreciated by our whole gang. I want your gang to love them too!

I hope you love our recipes as much as we do. Give them a go and let me know how you get on! Jane
